Invisalign

Teeth straightening is now easier than ever thanks to the Invisalign clear aligner system. Instead of wearing wire braces, clear aligners gently move your teeth over a specific period of time and are almost entirely invisable.

Who qualifies for Invisalign?

Invisalign was designed for adults, mainly due to the compliance requirements to get results. However, teens also qualify, as do older adults.

What is the process?

Once you decide to proceed with Invisalign, during the second appointment we’ll take impressions of your teeth.

The moulds are then sent to an Invisalign labs where they’re scanned into their CAD/CAM equipment. At that point, your dentist can digitally map your desired tooth movement all the way to the end result. We can even create a digital movie for you to see the overall process and expected outcome.

How Long Will I Need to Wear Them?

The length of your treatment will depend on how many trays are needed to achieve optimal tooth alignment. For some people, it might only be 10 sets; for others, it could be 50-60.

Each set of aligners are worn for about a week and then changed out with the next pair in the series. So, the overall length of your Invisalign experience is dependent on the amount of tooth movement that needs to take place.

Invisalign vs. Other Brands

Invisalign is the market leader and offers predictable results because it is carefully monitored by dentists who have completed the Invisalign certification.

The materials used to create the Invisalign system are extremely advanced and are responsible for the ‘tension’ that is applied to your teeth to straighten them. The Invisalign materials have been developed with tens of millions of dollars of research and investment and are superior to replica brands of aligners that are noticably cheaper due to inferior materials used, which results in slower speeds for results as they are not able to sustain the same tension on the teeth over-time.

When you choose Invisalign teeth straightening, you can be confident that your future smile is backed by decades of experience combined with the attention of a skilled clinical provider.

Living With Invisalign

The convenience of Invisalign allows you to take them out whenever you eat. You only need to wear them for 22 hours a day, so there’s flexibility to enjoy all of your favourite foods that might be off-limits to someone in traditional braces.

Brush and floss your teeth like normal each day, cleaning the inside of your orthodontic aligners each time. Change them out as directed.

We’ll want to check your progress to make sure your teeth are responding as they should. Plan to stop by our office about once every six weeks to pick up your next customised sets of trays. We can make minor adjustments to your treatment plan as needed to ensure you get the results that you want.
